Welcome to Breakfast & Brownies, the newest addition to Heacham High Street.  Friends and founders Sarah and Susie met 5 years ago when Sarah approached Susie about selling artisan brownies from Susie’s company, Simply Cake Co.  Sarah has been spotted at events around Norfolk ever since, selling Simply Cake Co products at Farmer’s Markets, food fairs and more!

When the opportunity arose to open a cafe (something that local Simply Cake Co fans have been wanting for years!) …how could they say no?!

Breakfast & Brownies brings you the best of both worlds…indulgent brownies, velvety hot chocolate, buttery sourdough toasties and more.

Our opening times are Wed-Sun 8am-3pm…plus some extra opening days in the summer & bank holidays…check our social media and google for up to date info!

coffee & hot chocolate

Our coffee comes from Tropic Coffee Roastery in King’s Lynn. We’ve chosen a lovely single origin Honduras bean, which offers a harmonious balance of flavours, with its chocolatey richness, subtle acidity, and sweet nutty undertones. If you enjoy our coffee as much as we do, you can buy our coffee beans to take home!

Hot Chocolate is something we take very seriously! As big hot chocolate fans, we wanted to ensure this wasn’t just an afterthought! We’ve tasted countless hot chocolates and found our all time favourite which uses real chocolate flakes! We steam the real chocolate with milk to make a thick, velvety and decadent drink. Available in different cocoa percentages depending on your preference!

Our partner company Simply Cake Co. is based just down the road in King’s Lynn.  Simply Cake Co. make all our delicious cakes and brownies which are naturally gluten-free and handmade with Belgian Chocolate, proper butter and local free-range eggs.  Hot brownie and cookie dough desserts with a selection of yummy toppings also feature on the menu.  

If that wasn’t enough, we also make a selection of pastries on-site daily including our extra special almond croissant recipe and croissant monkey buns!

BREAKFAST & TOASTIES

Breakfast; the most important meal of the day!  Visit us for breakfast and you’ll be sure to start your day right!  We use local butchers to source the best meat we could find.  Our delicious sausage patties and dry cured back bacon make the best breakfast rolls.  Or for those who fancy starting their day with something sweet, our honey butter toast may sound quite humble but packs a sweet buttery punch!

For lunch, we’ve got a variety of mouthwatering toasties from cheese & ‘nduja to goat’s cheese and walnut.

Still hungry?  Add a side of our loaded hashbrowns available all day long!
